Jennifer "Jen" Gagne has an extensive background with over twenty years of professional experience working as a dog trainer and handler, an Executive Director of a Humane Association, and as a successful entrepreneur. After graduating with a degree in Public Relations, she moved to Los Angeles to complete her dog training apprenticeship. One of her first training jobs was Jacqueline Bassett and her rescue dog Scruffy. Since then, she has worked along side some well-known directors and wrangled animals for movies starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Kate Beckensale.

 

Her love for all creatures began when she was very young; hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, hermit crabs, parakeets, rabbits, dogs, cats, cows, and horses were all a part of her childhood. Her passion for animals followed her to adulthood and lead her to several successful careers in animal welfare, dog training, and animal acting. In addition, she became the Founder and Co-Owner of Tail-Waggers Gourmet Pet Bakery & Gifts (now Tail-Wiggles) located on Hilton Head Island, SC.

 

Jen is a volunteer at the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS) and Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption (APRA). She has two actor dogs, a Border mix named Emma and a Beagle mix named Matty. Look for Emma in the Award Nominated film Super Dog appearing in film festivals all over the country.
