Restrictions and Prerequisites

RESTRICTIONS

Is there an age restriction for dogs to attend the park?

Yes.  We have a unique program in that we accept puppies as young as 8 weeks old into our Park.  They are placed in our Puppy Power adventure area.  Puppies older than 4 months old may be placed in the Puppy Power adventure area or other adventure areas that best fit their needs.  The maximum age limit is more dependent on the health of the dog rather than the age of an adult dog.  We do have “senior” dogs that love and enjoy our programs.

Are there any dog bred/type restrictions?

Dogs with a history of aggression or aggressive tendencies are not allowed.  And regardless of breed or type, all dogs must pass Meet and Greet Adventure to be allowed to visit our park.

Does my dog have to be spayed/neutered to attend the park?

No.  However, we do not allow females in heat to attend the park, we limit the number of intact dogs in the park and we require intact dogs to behave with the same manners as altered dogs.  If we feel that any dog is behaving in a manner that is unsafe to themselves or other visitors, we will separate him/her from the pack and/or request that you pick up your dog early.

What kind of vaccinations does my dog have to have?

Puppies under 6 months must be current with their puppy shot series.

All dogs over 6 months are required to be vaccinated with the minimum of: DHPP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough) and Rabies.

We recommend dogs receive all their vaccinations, especially Bordatella (Kennel Cough) at least three days prior to boarding.

DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) is required annually.

Bordatella (Kennel Cough) must be within past six months.  Please note that some vets administer by request only.

Rabies may be given annually or every three years, depending on the vaccine your veterinarian administered.

Unless you have already provided current and up-to-date records, please bring copies with you.  NOTE:  We cannot accept your dog without current and up-to-date vet records.  Written documentation from your vet is required (no exceptions).

All of these requirements are for the health, safety and well-being of your dog and all other guests that visit our park.

PREREQUISITES

Are there any pre-requisites required of my dog?  What is the process?

Yes.  There are three pre-requisites required.  They are:

1.  Application:  You will need to complete an Adventure Application Packet prior to your dog(s) first visit with us.  The application includes basic owner’s information, a dog behavioral/personality survey and service contract.  The behavioral/personality survey is to ensure your dog receives the best care possible while visiting our park.

2.  Meet and Greet:  All first time visiting dogs are required to have a Meet and Greet Adventure, which is always free!   Meet and Greet Adventures will last at least three hours to determine what type of adventure is best suited for your dog.  This adventure will include your dog’s interaction with human pack members and a health/safety check (fleas, ticks, any existing injuries/illness).  Your dog will then be introduced to other dogs to see how he/she interacts with other dogs.  Once your dog is comfortable and feels secure in their new surroundings and we feel confident that he/she is ready for their next adventure, they will be placed in the appropriate adventure area based upon their size, temperament and activity level.

NOTE: Although we have made arrangements to accommodate as many adventure seekers as possible, we do understand that at times this may not be the best program for some dogs and in that case, we do request that the owner pick up the dog early for the dog's best interest.

3.  Vet Records:  All visitors are required to have current and up-to-date vet records on file.  Unless you have already provided current and up-to-date records, please bring copies with you.  NOTE:  We cannot accept your dog without current and up-to-date vet records.  Written documentation from your vet is required (no exceptions).
